Vermilionville's weekly Cajun Jam is led by some of the area’s finest musicians. The free jam is held in the Performance Center of Vermilionville and is open to all skill levels-beginner to professional. Free admission is for the jam only and does not include entry to the park.

Black History in the Attakapas Region

January 2nd - February 10th 
This exhibit tells the story of Louisiana’s slaves, free people of color, and Creoles. Topics include slavery, Code Noir, education, religion, and civil rights.

A Tale of Two Mardi Gras

February 12th - March 6th 
Learn about the vastly different, but equally meaningful ways Mardi Gras is celebrated in the city and the country. Enjoy looking at the beautiful and elaborate city costumes and fun and festive country Mardi Gras outfits.
 

Bayou Vermilion River

March 8th - May 28th 
At the time the Bayou Vermilion District (BVD) was formed in the mid-1980s, the Bayou Vermilion was listed as one of the most polluted waterways in Louisiana. This exhibit will show how BVD works to keep the bayou clean and what you can do to help.
